Yesterday while many were guzzling beers + sucking down chili cheese nacho dip with buffalo chicken wing spoons - I was delightfully kicking my heels up, sipping a magical concoction and enjoying the afternoon. Fret not, I'm no schmaltzy hipster - I'm just a regular gal who enjoys a good healthy elixir! But seriously, for all the hooch I consume on a regular basis - I must do what I can to boost my liver who's status is probably hellacious! While I certainly didn't invent this particular combination - I must say, it's a pretty brilliant and tasty liquid medication! I call it the Health Elixir / aka : apple-carrot-beet-ginger-kale juice - and, it's something that I wildly abuse. Juicing it yourself can be quite the ordeal, although hands-down worth it - but I oft cheat and get it made at Whole Food$ (don't curse it!) Either way you swing it I can't recommend it enough - it's the perfect pick-me-up when your feeling rough and tough!

You could hardly imagine my delight when this little nugget crossed my desk - the opportunity to slide right in to Trina Turk's Spring 2012 catalogue as an editing guest!! I skipped, clapped and jumped over the mention of such a proposition. Needless to say, I shimmied hips first into the project with wild ambition! She summoned my signature quips + welcomed my cocktail party tips. So I gave it my Mrs. all and delivered my wits and tricks. The "Country Club Coquette" themed collection served as a glittering muse - as Mrs. Turk's ferocious talents were certainly put to good use. Mrs. Turk painted a picturesque silhouette of the country club coquette lifestyle and I chimed in with a slew of my favorite cocktail party tips. The end result is an explosive mise-en-scene of clubette fabooshness at your very fingertips! Yes, I said fingertips as this catalogue is hitting the streets. Perhaps it's on it's way to your mailbox in the coming weeks! Color yourself lucky should you get your hands on one... this catalogue collab-o-ganza is just oozing with fun!

There are few things as spectacular and eccentric as the items atop a Mrs. Bureau. Some are far more indulgent than others, which I'm sure you already know. What you won't find are mindless knick-knacks and extraneous matter   - for, a Mrs. Bureau is kept tidy with items that inspire, fulfill and flatter. I beg you take a close look and examine your own workspace... perhaps it boasts an uncanny resemblance, or better yet lends inspiration for you to embrace! What ever the situation a Mrs. Bureau must be tended with thoughtfulness and care - and remember to always leave something naughty out that's worthy of a daunting stare!

It's about this time each year that I begin to ponder - just what my patio needs in order to pop it's proverbial collar. While last year I had high hopes of realizing my re-upholstery dreams - I blew it on pulling the trigger so it seems. Instead, my vintage patio set is still rocking the vintage forest greens [insert screams!!!] This spring I'll be dedicating my "free time" to sprucing up le outdoors - filling it up with the kinds of goodies I wholeheartedly adores. I've had my eye on a few different pieces - like a new lounger and a frouffy white umbrella that swooshes in the breezes. I'm thinking all white with explosive bursts of color - an outdoor sanctuary that dazzles quite like no other. A perfect little place to steal off to and glamorously bask - put together so well, it causes visitors to gasp! This is my vision, and here's to making it happen - let's hope I pull this one off in a more timely fashion!

Okay, so... it's time for me to come clean - I'm a lover of the domestic arts, I'm a home-keeping queen! I truly live for laundry day - whites, brights, colors... even hand washing lingerie! That being said, I thought I'd throw you all a bone. I'll be periodically sharing laundry tips + tricks that you may not have known! With this wealth of laundry knowledge - you'da thought I'd gone to laundress college! I promise you that's not the case, tis merely just a naughty little obsession - so there, I came clean, I've made my freaky confession!

Now... on to today's tips:

TIP No. 1: While sorting your laundry, prior to stain spotting - do yourself a favor turn all garments right side out prior to washing! You'll save yourself buckets of time on the back end. Folding will be so quick n' easy you'll be dumbfounded, my friend!

TIP No. 2: A rule of thumb that I'd like to deliver - a handy nugget about demin for the laundry beginner. Do your denim turned right-side-in + on the coldest setting. This will keep them darker longer and prevent them from shredding.

TIP No. 3: Towels and linens of like color category - should be laundered within the same cycle story. Towels have a tendency to make mess, so washing them amongst linens is best. Most of the terry-fiber-linty mess will slough off in the dryer - yet you'll want to keep it separate from your fabulous attire!

Dear friends this is but the tip of my domestic arts iceberg. I promise you the knowlege I'll bestow will be ridiculously superb. Lets mimic her al naturale look and say we just rolled out of bed - lets lie through our teeth and make up our faces instead!

To accomplish this easy breezy look you must first illuminate the complexion - smearing on some Smooth Operator will deliver skin perfection!

Next, a light dusting of golden bronzer for a hint of sun kissed glow - hitting the forehead, cheekbones, nose, chin + neck will liven you up, I'll have you know!

Then come the cheeks, the objects of my affection - they should look like they've just been plumped with a coral hued injection!

On to the lashes, which must be quickly curled and painted - keeping the application light, as opposed to Tammy-Fay-saturated!

Finally the lips, I like a shimmering nude - perfect for 'rolling out of bed' with a kitten-ish attitude!

So there you have it, the al naturale look demystified - now haul off to the powderoom and go get beautified!

Last month over an uproarious email exchange with Mister Adler - I professed my adoration for his hubby, Mister Doonan, who couldn't be fabber! Before I knew it our emails became a party of three - with Mister Doonan chiming in it was a full blown jubilee! Next thing I know his latest book arrived on my doorstep - I scooped her right up and hit the deck! What soon followed were riotous fits of laugh-out-loud giggles - indulgent gasps set off by his tongue-in-cheek missiles! From cover to cover I was charmed with naughty delight - shocked, teased and charmed by all it's razor sharp might! Last week over breakfast both Misters and I wildly chatted - recounting the wondrously wayward chapters that are so stupendously slanted! The giggles that ensued were wickedly ferocious - the kind that left onlookers gawking at our boldness. The moral of the story, you really must read this book - I promise when your through, you'll be so thrilled you partook!!!!
