Nice one!! One of my faves cocktails is a honeydew melon frozen daiquiri, yummy! This is one of the recipes I found:

1 cup ice
1 1/2 oz. rum - light, dark, OR 151 proof
1 1/2 oz. lime juice
1 tsp. granulated sugar

Add 1 oz. melon liqueur and (4-6) 1" chunks of peeled and seeded cantaloupe

So refreshing!

yes please!

you will never find me without bloody mary in hand at a cocktail party.

lets see here, i usually dont make any measurements.
-a couple shots really good vodka
-an equal amount tomato juice
-dash horseradish
-dash Tobasco sauce
-salt and pepper
-juice from half a lemon
-dash Worcestershire sauce
and garish with olives, pickled asparagus and celery, if you wish!

a delightful lil meal drink!

In a tall-ish glass, pour two shots makers mark over ice, add one shot cointreau and top it off with ginger ale. Add a squeeze of lime, garnish with an orange slice.

It's a spring meet, taken from my friends' memory of early season horse racing at Keeneland.

Fill a tin cup with ice. Add one part vodka, 3 parts ginger beer, a healthy squeeze of fresh lime plus the wedge and a sprig of mint... tada! Absolutely refreshing :)

Since I am new to the cocktail world, I have started out a bit slow drawing from the classics and current/ modern goodies from the Mrs.! Summer 2010 has been *influenced* by many frozen daiquiris!

I start with 10 cane rum - 3 ounces
lime juice - 1 ounce
1/2 teaspoon fine granulated sugar
a splash of Maraska Maraschino liquer
a cup and a half of crushed ice
and get to shakin'!!!

Au revoir summer!!!
Do enjoy - any many thanks to the Mrs.!!

Follow me on this one because it always gets weird looks at parties and I was skeptical at first: Fresca and Gin. It is simply the most refreshing, simple cocktail - surprisingly crisp and clean without being too sweet. Pleases both the guys and the girls!
